How much does it cost?: The U.S. Southwest Area Women's Conference will be free. Parking and dinner will be provided at no charge. Dinner will be provided for daytime, in-person attendees.
Who is invited?: Women 18 and older across the U.S. Southwest Area — Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas — are warmly invited. For those who can't travel, the Coliseum Main Stage and all three devotionals are broadcast live. Get the broadcast links
Where will the Women's Conference be held?: The University of North Texas in Denton, Texas, at the UNT Coliseum.
What time does the Women's Conference start?: Daytime check-in opens at 7:30 AM and the opening devotional begins at 9:00 AM. Workshops and classes run 9 AM – 5 PM CDT. Evening check-in opens at 6:00 PM, and the evening devotional runs 7:00–8:00 PM. All times are Central Daylight Time (CDT).
Who are the keynote speakers?: Three devotionals, each with a keynote: President and Sister Dunn in the morning, Neill Marriott in the afternoon, and Elaine Dalton in the evening. Each devotional has its own broadcast link, with Spanish translation and closed captioning.
Will the conference be broadcast?: Yes. A live stream from the Coliseum Main Stage runs all day, 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM CDT, featuring the speakers and programming on the main stage. Each of the three devotionals also has its own broadcast link. Get the broadcast links
Will the broadcast be available to view after the conference?: The three devotionals will be. Each recording is available at its own link for two weeks after the conference.
Will the broadcast be translated?: All three devotional broadcasts are available with Spanish translation and closed captioning. The all-day Coliseum Main Stage stream has neither. In the Coliseum itself, everything on the main stage is translated live.
Will parking be available?: Parking will be provided at no charge.
What about food?: Dinner will be provided at no charge for daytime, in-person attendees. Lunch is on your own: concessions will be open 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM in the Coliseum, and some restaurants in the Union Building Food Court and Eagle Landing will also be open during the conference lunch hour. Dinner is prepared without nuts and fish and is gluten free, and sisters who indicated a dairy-free or vegetarian need when registering will receive a special meal, picked up at Door H. We can't accommodate other dietary requests, so please plan accordingly. See the concessions menu and prices
Are translation services available?: Yes. There will be a Translation Desk at Door H of the Coliseum. If you need translation services, please see the volunteers and they will help you get access to live translation through an app called Glossa — please bring a mobile device with your own headphones. Everything on the main stage in the Coliseum will be translated, and some class sessions are presented in Spanish. See the door map
I have an accessibility need. What should I do?: Email us at usswawomensconference@gmail.com. We will follow up personally with everyone who has an accessibility need so we can make sure the day works for you.
Am I allowed to bring my service dog?: Service dogs are allowed on the UNT campus under ADA public access laws. This does not extend to therapy dogs or emotional support dogs. Please make sure you have proper documentation with you in case UNT has questions. UNT's service animal policy
How do I volunteer?: We'd love your help. Visit the Volunteers page, or email us at usswawomensconference@gmail.com.
Can I bring my children?: We love children, but are not able to accommodate them at this event. Breastfeeding babies may attend with their mothers.
What is the dress code?: There is no specific dress code beyond comfortable and modest attire. Some will likely be in dresses and some in casual clothing. Above all we encourage you to wear comfortable shoes.
How do I check in at the door?: Bring the ticket from your EventsAir confirmation — printed or on your phone. Enter at Door B or Door C if you have your QR code, or at Door A if you are registering for the first time or need a new code. A volunteer will check you in at the door. See the door map
What if I can't find my RSVP email or QR code on the day of the conference?: Come anyway! We can check you in.
I registered but can't attend.: No problem — please just email us at usswawomensconference@gmail.com to let us know.
What if I have a problem with the new EventsAir registration?: First, check your spam folder — EventsAir verification codes and emails often land there, and they can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 14 hours to arrive. If that doesn't work, email us at usswawomensconference@gmail.com and we'll reserve your spot.
Why did registration change?: The Church asked us to use a new vendor.
How do I choose my classes?: The class schedule is posted now, so you can plan your day. You can also design your day in the conference app — the link has been emailed to registered sisters, so check your inbox and your spam folder. The Service Projects area is open all day, and speakers are on the main stage all day.
What if I can't come all day? Can I attend part of the day?: Yes — register for Daytime or Full Day, then come when you can. If you plan to attend any part of the daytime event, please register so we can plan accordingly. We'd love to have you for as much of the day as you're able to attend!
