Dr. Heidi Hastings
Sacred Bodies, Powerful Choices: Teaching Chastity with Love, Truth, and Joy
Dr. Heidi Hastings is a marriage and sexuality researcher, educator, speaker, and co-host of the Marriage IQ podcast. Through her work, she helps individuals and couples better understand relationships, strengthen connection, and navigate the challenges that shape family life.
Heidi holds a PhD in Human Development and Family Studies and has spent years studying marriage, sexuality, identity, and the ways individuals and families grow through adversity. She also teaches Institute, serves in the temple, and enjoys helping women understand who they are, recognize their divine potential, and build healthy, meaningful relationships.
Through her humanitarian work with Dream Nziza, Heidi has traveled to Africa to educate and empower women, men, and families. Her classes have focused on relationships, identity, self-reliance, parenting, and personal development.
Heidi feels most blessed to be a wife and mother of four children who have become incredible humans! She believes that life’s most important work happens in our homes and relationships. She and her husband, Scott, have been married for 30 years. Together, they enjoy traveling, serving, learning, and spending time with their family.
About this class
How can we help our children understand chastity as more than a list of rules? This class will explore how to teach divine identity, the sacred gift of our bodies, agency, integrity, healthy boundaries, and God’s plan for sexuality—with love, honesty, and the hope found in repentance through Jesus Christ.
